Referrals for Psychology
Clients wishing to claim Medicare rebates should have a valid GP referral and Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) ready to upload to their secure client portal at, or before, their first appointment.
These are often provided together in a single document following a GP appointment.
Clients without a GP referral can still book privately via our bookings page and pay the full session fee without claiming Medicare rebates. For fee information, please see our bookings page.
How to Submit a Referral
To protect client privacy, referral documents are not uploaded via this website.
Referrals may be provided using one of the secure options below:
Option 1: Client Upload via Secure Portal
When booking their first session on our bookings page, clients will automatically receive access to a secure client portal, where they can upload their GP referral letter and Mental Health Treatment Plan.
Option 2: Secure Email Submission
Referrals may be sent to our secure, encrypted email admin@ruahpsychology.com by:
GPs or psychiatrists, or
Clients forwarding their referral documents
Referral documents once received are promptly uploaded to our client system, and a secure client portal is created.
The client will then receive email confirmation and access to their portal, where they can book their first session.
